The Sluiter Machining process

This is what our process looks like

No two jobs are the same, and we love that. We currently work for clients in the Food, Pharma, Defence, Offshore and General Machine Building industries. While the work we do is very varied, we focus on quality without exception. This makes us a perfect match. Want to know more about our working methods and our process? We would be happy to show you.

STEP 1

We base every job on the 3D model of the component you require. This model is definitive. We are very strict about this, because this is the only way to deliver the very best. We thoroughly investigate your 3D model. We first determine whether the component can actually be manufactured, and if so, the best way to do it. Phase 1 is important, because it depends on the sum total of your skills and ours. You understand development, we understand making. By combining these strengths, you can create a good product at a much earlier stage.

STEP 2

In Step 2, we determine if the component can be produced even “better”. Faster, cheaper, or better fitting, for example. We also determine whether the idea can be simplified, to make it easier to manufacture. While this extensive stage may appear to cost time, it actually increases efficiency. By carrying out this step properly, we can start preparing for production earlier, which leads to time savings. This reduces the time spent on this element, which is of course interesting to you as a client.

STEP 3

We now start the production process. At Sluiter, we almost always have sufficient materials in stock (duplex, aluminium, stainless steel and titanium). This again saves time. We work with CAD/CAM software (hyperMILL), which makes the process much more efficient. We have invested a great deal of energy in production management. This means that our process has a logical order, which is clear to all parties in the chain. Intermediate and final control points are built into the process. These are recorded in the measurement reports, which we archive. For you as client, this means you always have the detailed information you need.

STEP 4

To help our clients even more fully and effectively – taking an even greater load off their mind, you might say – we can also take responsibility for a number of subsequent steps. Surface treatment, sub-assembly: you can rest assured that we will take care of it. We always strive to supply your product as it is on the drawing.

STEP 5

The components are manufactured to the highest possible precision. The next task is to deliver them to you as rapidly as possible. We also aim to eliminate mistakes as much as possible during this final phase. This is why we work with a professional carrier, and send the goods directly to you. This means you receive your products quickly and securely. We are also careful not to waste your time and our own in this final step.

At Sluiter Machining, we make really beautiful products. I think that's fantastic.
